Google Inc. (Google) is a company focused on providing search services. Google generates revenue primarily through two programs: highly targeted advertising and online search services.
Google offers two advertising programmes for corporate clients: Google AdWords and Google Adsense. Google AdWords is a pay-per-click advertising program for advertisers. Advertisers are able to display their ads on Google and pay only if the ads are clicked. Google AdSense is a program for website publishers which enables them to generate revenues by displaying Google ads on their websites.
Other Google website services include: Google Search Services, which enable publishers to provide Google web and site search on their own pages; The Google Search Appliance, a tool that provides Google quality search across an individual website or intranet; Google Wireless Services, which delivers Google search results via PDAs, wireless phones and other mobile devices powered by wireless service providers; and Google AdSense for domains, which serves ads on dormant domain pages.
In addition, Google operates websites at many international domains. According to Nielsen/NetRatings in Jun 2005, Google was the number 1 search engine in Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, India, Italy, Mexico, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, The UK and the US.
