Playlogic and Virgin PLAY team up for UK game venture

Software publisher Playlogic Entertainment and games publisher and distributor Virgin PLAY are creating a joint venture. The project, dubbed PlayV, aims to bring PC, console and handheld products from both parties to the UK. The organisation will also offer PR, marketing and sales solutions to other parties looking to enter the UK retail market.

Deal Details

The companies say PlayV will be fully operational by Jul 1. Industry veteran David Hope will lead the project. Hope was previously responsible for the successful setup of various UK distribution companies, say the partners.
