Webalo has raised USD3m from new and existing investors including Balch Hill Capital and JL Easton Ventures to help companies connect employee smartphones to in-house databases and networks. The company claims it can dramatically reduce the cost of implementing employee mobile access because it does not require firms to code new apps or buy proprietary applications. Instead, Webalo's platform promises to let administrators select the data and functions that employees need to access.
