One in 20 Americans has participated in mobile marketing, while one in four US citizens are interested in mobile marketing, according to a survey by the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA). People aged 25 to 44 were the most likely to have experienced mobile marketing, with voting campaigns and sweepstake being the most common form of marketing in which they participated. The next most common form of mobile marketing was text alerts about products, services and mobile or banking accounts. The survey found that African-Americans and Hispanic-Americans were more receptive to mobile marketing than white people. The survey also found that 58% of Americans now create and send photos from their mobile, which with the advent of photo-messaging, the MMA thinks will lead to "innovative campaigns this coming year" from marketers.
