Set-top box maker Roku is launching a store that offers users 10 new channels. In addition to watching movies from Amazon and Netflix, and baseball from the MLB.TV channels, users can now access music from Pandora, photos from Facebook and Flickr and internet video from blip.TV.

The new channels will help to differentiate Roku from rival services such as Netflix. Roku's CEO Anthony Wood claims the new channels make the Roku player unique, claiming Roku is "the world's first open platform designed specifically for the TV".

Roku still faces competition from other internet to TV devices such as Boxee, which is set to launch its device next year.
