Téléfonica buys 21% stake in satellite TV firm for USD709m

Spanish telecoms group Téléfonica is buying a 21% stake in satellite TV firm Digital Plus for an estimated USD709m. Prisa, owner of Digital Plus and Spain’s biggest media group, rejected an earlier joint bid from Téléfonica and Vivendi Universal.
