Online content tool Silk bags USD475,000

Amsterdam-based content tool Silk has raised USD475,000 in a round led by Atomico. Angel investors including Floris Rost van Tonningen, founder of Dutch social network, Hyves, and MetrixLab founder Han de Groot also participated in the investment. Silk’s platform enables publishers, such as Wikipedia, to organise their content more efficiently online, enabling users to better navigate the content. Silk CEO, Salar al Khafaji, says the firm will use the funding to bring the platform to market and ramp up development.
