Facebook is extending its social app discovery channels to native Android apps, as part of a push to improve its mobile platform. Developers will now be able to create apps for any mobile platform and take advantage of Facebook discovery. The social network launched its latest Android app last week.  As part of its attempt to ramp up its often criticized mobile platform, Facebook has also announced that it is planning to update its Windows Phone app, though no official date is given.
