Two YouTube fans who set up a independent music label have racked up USD100,000 worth of sales catering for acts that gained popularity on the video network. DFTBA Records - it stands for “don’t forget to be awesome” - has already released 10 CDs from musicians who have made their names through YouTube such as Venetian Princess and Dave Days. The label handles almost the entire distribution process itself without support from the major record labels. It is currently moving into merchandising.
