Mobile operator Orange is rolling out an app store that will offer UK and French users access to 5,000 mobile applications, ringtones and wallpapers. Users can access the store directly from their mobile and subsequently download or purchase the apps. Orange says the store will come preloaded on the forthcoming Nokia 6700 and Sony Ericsson W995 handsets. It expects to extend it to Samsung, LG, HTC, Motorola and BlackBerry mobiles next year. Other European countries such as Spain, Poland, Belgium and Portugal are also expected to get access to the shop in 2010.
