Mobile data organiser SkyData Systems is raising a USD4m funding round, says VentureBeat. The California-based startup, which raised an undisclosed amount in a seed round last Dec, confirms that it is raising funding but does not give details.
Launched in Feb and still in limited mode, SkyData wants to let users access, streamline and organise all their enterprise contacts and data - from programmes like SugarCRM, Salesforce and NetSuite - using their mobile phone. The service costs USD9.99 a month for business use and is free for personal use. It has partnerships with eBay, Kayak, Flightsmarts and Yelp to let private users access reviews, book flights and monitor auctions from their phones.
The company hopes to launch a software-as-a-service in Jun before a public beta launch in autumn. It has seven employees including its three founders and former Siebel execs, Kevin R Nix (CEO), Peter S Lim (CTO) and Hans Kedefors, CIO.
