Social networking platform KickApps has raised more than USD13m in a third round of funding from existing backers Prism VentureWorks, Softbank Capital and Spark Capital, reports the peHUB. The firm has raised a total of USD30m in funding, with a Series B round bringing in USD11m in August 2007.
KickApps’s Social Graph Engine is a community-building platform for publishers, powering tools for advertising, media management, engaging and monitoring visitors, and creating social networks. Customers include CW Television, HBO, Guinness World Records and Cinemax.
Rumours of a USD90m KickApps acquisition by AOL circulated in May.
