Flat World Knowledge raises USD8m for online textbooks

New York-based Flat World Knowledge has raised USD8m in a Series A funding round from investors including Valhalla Partners, Greenhill SAVP and High Peaks Venture Partners. Founded in 2007, the company publishes free online text books. It also allows students and educators to print and download audio textbooks for a fee.
