Salesforce.com to acquire GoInstant for USD76m

Salesforce.com is paying USD76m for web browsing startup GoInstant, in a bid to bolster its customer service offering. GoInstant makes 'co-browsing' software that allows two users in different locations to browse the web together in real time, anywhere in the world, without any additional software. Founded in 2010 and raising USD1.7m in seed financing, Canadian GoInstant launched in 2011. The firm will now join Salesforce's roster of cloud services and hopes to double its number of employees over the next year.
