Startup accelerator Mola.com bags USD1.6m

Startup accelerator Mola.com has raised EUR1.2m (USD1.6m) from undisclosed investors just three months after launch, according to co-founder Enrique Dubois. The Spanish accelerator says it will now invest a total of USD365,000 in seed funding in a group of seven startups including taxi booking app WannaTaxi.com and fantasy football betting site Matchball.com. Mola.com is also investing in online marketplace Myntmarket.com, video game studio Mutant-Games.com, diving fansite DiveScover.com, hotel reviews site ReviewsReporting.com and sports flash sales site TriaVIP.com.
