Spotify hints at future projects with new community forum

Wed Feb 15 2012, 16:49 PM

Spotify has launched a forum for its users, dubbed the Spotify Community, providing a space for users to seek help or have music-related discussions. The forum, which is in beta, also hosts an ‘ideas exchange' where Spotify will consider and rank any ideas submitted by users, with an initial list giving a glimpse into the streaming service's upcoming projects. Spotify already hosts a community forum of sorts at GetSatisfaction, although the firm appears to be winding down its involvement there, transferring discussions across to the new community. As with the previous incarnation of the forum, it appears that promising ideas will be seriously considered by the firm, which ranks them as ‘under consideration' or ‘planned' depending on their progress.
