Speculation that Google could be developing a home entertainment device of its own is just the latest in a long line of rumours to peg the search giant with a move into hardware manufacturing. At the end of last year, Google chairman Eric Schmidt hinted that the firm was planning a media tablet of its own and it has previously worked with both Samsung and HTC to launch flagship smartphones running on its OS under the Nexus brand. However, these latest reports suggest Google could make a full-blown move into manufacturing.
