Google is bringing its Chrome web browser to smartphones and tablets as the firm continues to bolster the presence of its software across multiple platforms. The search giant is rolling out the browser to all devices running the latest version of its Android operating system, dubbed Ice Cream Sandwich, enabling users to sync their desktop and smartphone activity, including page history and bookmarks. The mobile browser, dubbed Chrome for Phone, will initially only trial on Android-based devices, Google says it hope to release the browser on other operating systems, including Apple’s iOS, in due course.
