IAC is reportedly seeking financing to spin off video-sharing site Vimeo, which it purchased in 2006. IAC hopes to keep a non-controlling 50% stake, and leave 25% with the management team who founded the startup, while selling 25% to new investors. Vimeo's platform allows its 55m unique quarterly users to create and upload video while connecting socially. Its founders have a long relationship with IAC, formed after selling their successful College Humor site to the company.
