Wolfram Alpha launches subscriptions
Wolfram Alpha, a search engine for facts and data, is launching a subscription service, Wolfram Alpha Pro. The Pro version will offer user log-ins, as well as new input and output features. Pro users will be able to generate and download interactive output such as graphs using computer document format (CDF), download 3D and vector graphics, customise the output of images, and download raw data reports, for immediate use. New input options will include an expanded keyboard featuring more mathematical and scientific symbols, as well as search-by-image, and even by audio. The Pro model costs USD2.99 per month for students and USD4.99 per month for other users.
