TiqIQ funds ticket aggregator with USD1.7m investment

Fri Feb 3 2012, 10:13 AM

Ticketing startup TiqIQ has raised USD1.7m in equity financing to develop its ticket price aggregator. Until recently, the service was a white label platform for content publishers, aggregating the best possible deals for sports tickets. Now, the New York-based company will use the money to support its recent launch of an independent consumer-facing site, and to expand into other events types such as music concerts. It will also increase product development in Israel, where its tech team is based. This round is led by Contour Venture Partners, with participation from iNovia Capital.
