Stealth startup Numecent raises USD2m for 'cloud-paging'
Stealth startup <a href="http://numecent.com/" target="_blank" rel="external">Numecent</a> has raised USD2m in Series A funding, the first instalment in a larger USD10m round, from anonymous corporate investors. The California-based company is developing a technology called 'cloud-paging' that it claims is "the successor to streaming". The company expects to exit stealth in March, and claims it "already has high-profile customers who have begun to deploy this ‘hybrid-cloud' solution in mission-critical environments".
