Thu Feb 2 2012, 16:36 PM

Nokia's turnaround efforts will damage the firm's takings over the next 12 months, admits chairman Jorma Ollila, days after the Finnish manufacturer posted a 73% year-on-year profit drop for Q4.  Over the past year the firm has been working with Microsoft to launch its Lumia smartphone range on the Windows Phone operating system as it shifts away from its outdated Symbian platform. "For a significant part of the year the transition will be seen in the results, says Ollila in a TV interview, indicating that it will take time to regain the ground it has lost to more innovative rivals such as Apple and Samsung over the past few years.
