RIM is planning to bring Android apps to its BlackBerry PlayBook tablet, as well as upcoming BlackBerry 10 devices, according to the BlackBerry developer’s blog. The PlayBook will be able to run the apps after the operating system’s upgrade, which is rumoured for Feb 17, but a date for BlackBerry 10 devices has not been set. Any interested developers will be able to port their apps to BlackBerry’s devices, though the company has not announced any particular apps or partnerships. Rather, RIM is extending an invitation to developers who wish to participate.
