Tue Jan 31 2012, 15:28 PM

Restaurant rewards platform MOGL has bagged USD10m in a second funding round, bringing its total backing to USD12.4m. Sigma Partners led the round, with Austin Ventures and Avalon Ventures also participating. The firm is spending new financing on expanding its employee base and add more features to its platform. MOGL’s app offers competitions, cash-back incentives and prizes with a charitable layer, automatically donating a meal to a person in need every time a MOGL user spends USD20 through the app at a partner restaurant. So far, the company says 27,000 meals have been donated, and more than USD350,000 cash-back rewards earned by its users.
