Canadian cloud management tool Clio has raised a USD6m Series B round from two German VC firms, Acton Capital Partners and Point Nine Capital. Clio provides an organisation, billing and secure communication suite for lawyers working in small practices without administrative support, which can be accessed through the cloud from computers and mobile devices. The new investment will help the company, which currently has a 95% US customer base, grow in its native Canada, in Europe and in Australia. It will also fund customer support and product development.
