IGLOO Software has raised USD5m in its second institutional funding round, in order to develop its social intranets and extranets for enterprise. The Canada-based company provides cloud-based communities, available over the web and mobile, enabling workers to communicate with colleagues within and outside the workplace. The funding comes from returning investors Royal Bank of Canada Venture Partners and the Ontario Emerging Technologies Fund. IGLOO will use the investment to expand across the world, through accelerated product development and strategic partnerships.
