Rhapsody enters Europe via Napster

Thu Jan 26 2012, 08:55 AM

Streaming service Rhapsody will enter Europe with the acquisition of Napster International in the UK and Germany, potentially posing a threat to dominant streaming service Spotify on its home European turf. Spotify is not commenting on the news, only telling StrategyEye: "We warmly welcome any service that offers people the chance to listen to music in a legal environment and which provides them with an experience that is of a higher quality, simpler and altogether better than piracy."
