Online music marketplace Murfie has raised USD1.4m in a round led by DaneVest Tech Fund and various angel investors. Murfie provides software and hardware to allow users to buy, sell and trade music in both physical and digital forms. With the new money, the company will work on confirming its patents, scaling its infrastructure, and developing marketing initiatives. The Wisconsin-based startup will also join the TechStars Boston incubator this winter, where it hopes to gain further seed funding.
