Playtech wooing US partners as gambling laws relaxed

Gaming software firm Playtech is in negotiations with potential partners in the US, now that the justice department has loosened laws on online gambling, according to CEO Mor Wiezer. A change in the law means that only sites placing bets on sporting events such as the Superbowl will be illegal, potentially opening up the market to a raft of new gambling startups. "We have a lot of potential customers that approached us or that we approached that would like to have us as their suppliers of online gaming products when the market opens up," Weizer tells Reuters.
