Analysts are predicting a turnaround for Nokia following the November 2011 launch of its first devices to run on Microsoft's Window Phone operating system in Europe. An average estimate compiled by Bloomberg from 22 different analysts' predictions suggests that global sales of Nokia's Lumia range have hit 1.3m units, giving hope to investors that the alliance with Microsoft's software can help the firm compete with Apple and the range of smartphones running Google's Android OS. Nokia has so far refused to give sales forecasts for the device, so a definite figure will have to wait till January 26 when the company's earnings are announced.
