Intel's profits rose nearly 6% year on year in Q4, climbing from USD3.2bn to USD3.5bn for the three months ending December 31, despite fears that slowing PC sales worldwide would eat into the firm's bottom line. Revenues jumped 22% year on year, up from USD11.5bn to USD13.9bn and boosted by a strong performance from its PC division where revenues hit USD9bn, up 17% from the same period last year.
