Samsung has denied reports that it is set to bid for ailing Canadian BlackBerry maker Research In Motion (RIM), after a tech website quoted an unidentified source putting Samsung at the head of a pack of companies wanting to buy RIM or license its software. The acquisition rumour boosted RIM's share price by 10%, but since the denial the price has fallen back down. Samsung stock also fell by 1%.
