Mobile ad impressions worldwide grew by 251% during 2011, according to a report by independent ad network InMobi. Tablets, led by Apple's iPad, saw an impressive 771% growth in impressions when InMobi compared Q4 2010 and Q4 2011, while smartphone ads grew by 488%. The fastest-growing market, North America, saw a 366% growth in mobile impressions and 625% specifically in smartphones.
