PandoDaily, a new daily technology news blog launched by former TechCrunch writer Sarah Lacy, has received seed funding of USD2.5m from CrunchFund, Greylock Discovery Fund, Accel’s Seed Fund, Menlo Ventures Talent Fund, Lerer Ventures, SV Angels and Ooga Labs, as well as angel investors including tech notaries Marc Andreessen, Peter Thiel, Tony Hseih, Zach Nelson, Andrew Anket, Chris Dixon, Saul Klein, Josh Kopelman, Jeff Jordan and Matt Cohler. The blog will particularly focus on startups and the startup ecosystem, and Lacy says stories will include “exclusives, edgy opinion posts, stellar product analysis, insightful people and culture stories and *real* breaking news.”
