Fri Jan 13 2012, 11:14 AM

Kapost, a startup that helps brands reinvent themselves as digital media companies, has raised a USD1.5m Series B funding round from CircleP, Highway 12 Ventures and High Country Venture. Kapost will use the money to make major updates to the company’s proprietary content management system, with the first changes coming this month. Additionally, Kapost will move beyond matching writers with traditional media companies, like its competitor Contently, and offer a package to help brands create a social media, and ultimately an entire media presence, online. Kapost has already signed up L’Oreal, PTC and TripAdvisor.
