Nokia could make a breakthrough with Windows Phone this year according to Morgan Stanley, which forecasts that the Finnish handset maker could sell as many as 37m units and up to 64m in 2013, up from just 1m last year. This forecast anticipates huge take-up among consumers over the next 12 months, suggesting that the devices could represent nearly half of Nokia's projected 77m smartphone sales this year. Although this is still some way off the firm's high of 100m smartphones sold in 2010, Windows Phone could be Nokia's last chance to recoup the substantial ground the firm has lost in the low-end devices market over the past few years.
