Google's Chrome is making significant gains in the browser space, according to the latest data from StatCounter, with its market share growing 84% over the past 12 months, while Mozilla's Firefox and Microsoft's Internet Explorer (IE) suffered sequential declines. IE continues to dominate the market, with a 39% share, but Chrome, in second place, now representing 27% is likely to pose a growing threat to the browser's hegemony. Firefox fell behind Chrome in November but remains in third place with 25%.
