Appssavvy builds on social ads with USD7.1m

Social ad firm Appssavvy has raised USD7.1m in a round led by AOL Ventures, to build on its targeted ad technology. Appssavvy will invest the money in engineering and sales teams working to develop new web and mobile technology for its ‘Adtivity’ system of monetising social networking and gaming activities."The future of how publishers are building games and building communities is not around page views and impressions," says CEO and co-founder Chris Cunningham. The ‘Adtivity’ technology this year replaced Appssavvy’s previous focus of connecting advertisers with social-game developers.
