With the launch of its new SideShow feature, social TV app Miso will automatically update iOS devices with ‘extras’ relevant to TV episodes playing in the same room. Partnerships with DirecTV and AT&T’s U-verse let Miso display relevant information by syncing US iOS devices with nearby TV sets. Content includes song names from episode soundtracks, and shopping links for costume and set items. US TV networks such as Showtime, Fox, Food Network and the Science Channel have already created SideShows.
