Competition in the online music streaming space is increasing further with the launch of Rara, which aims to challenge Spotify’s dominance in the market. The UK -based startup is launching in 18 countries and is targeting consumers that have not yet adopted a service, with CEO, Rob Lewis, labelling existing services as too complicated to gain mass adoption. Rara is aiming to hit the ground running, charging just USD0.99 a month for the first three months, before falling in line with Spotify, charging USD5 for unlimited desktop streaming and USD10 for access to Rara’s Android app, with an iOS equivalent set to follow.
