Verizon launches FiOS connected TV service for Xbox

Verizon Communications, theUStelecoms giant, has announced a version of its FiOS connected TV service for Microsoft’s Xbox games console. The service, which will be available to download next month, will allow existing FiOS subscribers to access the company’s IPTV offerings via the console without needing to purchase any additional hardware. It will also integrate the Kinect motion-sensing accessory, enabling users to control TV programming through voice and gesture commands.
