Google launches indoor maps for Android

Google has introduced floor plans of selected buildings in the United States and Japan to the latest release of its Google Maps mobile app for the Android operating system. Google Maps 6.0 features plans of a number of large malls and shopping centres, as well as 18 separate US airports, including smaller sites such as William P. Hobby Airport in Houston and Akron-Canton Airport in Ohio.
