Spotify now has 2.5m paying subscribers, with user numbers seeing a big boost since the service become available via Facebook. Speaking to Bloomberg, Spotify’s chief content officer and MD of North America, Ken Parks, says the service has added 500,000 new subscribers since its partnership with Facebook, although he declines to break out how much each subscriber is paying or subscriber numbers in each country. Spotify is now available in 12 countries having recently launched in Belgium and Australia and the US earlier this year.
