JumpStart invests USD750,000 in three IT firms

Startup accelerator JumpStart has invested in three Ohio-based IT firms, with each receiving USD250,000 in financing. Anderson Aerospace develops satellite antenna systems for aircraft, allowing for in-flight live television and internet connectivity in vessels to small for other systems. The firm will put the funds towards completing its final prototype. OptixConnect, which is making a private social network for businesses and their stakeholders, plans to launch the alpha version of its product with the new funds. The third firm, SpearFysh, provides analytics for voice and written data from sales calls and will use the investment to hasten commercialisation of its software.
