Sequoia Capital has led a USD24.5m Series C funding round for employee rewards firm Achievers, with support from previous investors JLA Ventures, GrandBanks Capital and the Ontario Venture Capital Fund. Formerly I Love Rewards, Achievers provides clients such as Deloitte, 3M and Microsoft with social software to enhance employee engagement and promote social recognition. The company's performance-based recognition platform awards workers with points that go towards real-world benefits through vendors including Apple, Visa Reward Cards and Expedia. With the new financing, Achievers plans to boost sales and marketing and further develop its products.
