Web.com buys Network Solutions for USD405m

Web.com is acquiring Network Solutions, a domain registration company launched in the 1970s amid the origins of the internet. The deal includes USD405m in cash plus 18m in stock, valuing the deal at USD560.8m in total. Web.com, which focuses on website-building and online marketing tools for small- and medium-sized businesses, will also take on Network Solutions' existing debt.
