Intel buys Egyptian software company in 4G push

Chipmaker Intel bought most of Cairo-based SySDSoft's assets in its first acquisition in the Middle East as it moves to develop 4G communications. The privately-held company makes software for communications systems including WiMax, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and LTE, and will become part of Intel Mobile Communications. Intel will also hire around 100 of SySDSoft's in-country engineers.
