Apple is reportedly considering revamping its MobileMe service as a free cloud-based storage platform for multimedia including images and music, increasing speculation that Apple is planning an iTunes streaming service. According to a Wall Street Journal report, updating MobileMe is one of Apple's top priorities and the service could become the "focal point" for a new offering from Apple that will give users access to their full iTunes library in the cloud. The service is reportedly scheduled for a summer release, which could coincide with the launch of the iPhone 5 and a possible release of a smaller, low-cost iPhone.
