The FCC is reportedly considering net neutrality conditions for Comcast and NBC Universal before it approves the two companies' planned merger. Regulators want to avoid the combined entity from using its size to prevent content from reaching consumers and also aim to ensure local media is protected, according to reports. The FCC is also said to be considering rules to prevent the company from prioritising its own content such as Hulu and NBC.com before it sanctions the deal, which was originally struck in 2009 when Comcast bought 51% of NBC. Some reports claim the conditions could be in place for seven years.
